Pumpkin Sales Fund Raiser
We had a successful pumpkin sale fund raiser that allowed us to purchase uniform shirts for the band. Thanks to all who supported us by purchasing these amazing pumpkins donated to us by Sue’s Egg Farm!
The City of Alachua Parade
We were honored to be able to participate in the City of Alachua’s Holiday Parade on December 9th, 2023. Beginning and Advanced band played instruments and gave out candy to spectators. Everyone had a great time!
Winter Concert
We held our Winter Concert on December 14, 2023. We had a great turn out and were able to showcase the talent our band members have. It was the first concert some of our members participated in. We look forward to our upcoming Spring concert to showcase our continued growth and some new skills!
Playing for Commissioners
Our advanced band members were invited to play at The City of Alachua Commission meeting on February 12, 2024. The band played Imperium, a beautiful concert band piece composed by Michael Sweeney. Everyone was delighted at the opportunity to participate in the event and we hope there are more opportunities like this in the future!
Pre-MPA Concert
We had a great time showing our skills at our Pre-MPA concert in preparation for our first MPA just a few days later.
MPA Day
We were excited and nervous to show off our skills at our first MPA competition. Mebane hasn’t participated in an MPA for a few years, but we gave a wonderful performance and now know what to expect next time!
